Ok, so I have to do the dreaded. Move!
I hate moving and have decided to be bourgeois and hire some movers to do the heavy lifting. If you are a friend of mine who is either male, and/or owns a truck, you can thank me later.
Does anyone have any recommendations for local movers?
I'm simply moving a one bedroom apartment from one side of Capitol Hill to the other side.

I'm doing something similar, and have found that while there are a few well-recommended moving companies around (Bumblebee Moving, Starving Students, Action Moving), most of them have a 4-hour minimum. Just something to think about.

I got a really nice guy off of craigslist once to help me move. He only charged 45 dollars! But be wary, many on there are very shady and often don't show up.

Sorry :) I thought I was posting on San Francisco. My bad. But I will hunt down a good moving company for you.

I packed my stuff, got a rental truck and picked up day laborers downtown on Western Ave, under the viaduct. They were nice, did a good job and everything was in in about 45 minutes.

Just to clarify - I wrote that last year, I'm not going anywhere, although maybe if I moved I wouldn't have to clean my house. Yay!
Tony & Amanda - Good luck with your moves!
