They have a fast turn around for employees, and a lot of times they mess up their ingredients in your order. It still tastes alright though. Well, maybe not for a $12 pancake.

I really enjoy visiting this establishment.  They have a wide variety of crepes, ranging from savory to sweet and they are all absolutely delicious!  There's nothing better than enjoying a nice glass of mimosa and a scrumptious crepe on a Sunday morning.  Highly recommended!

The service was just a tad "distracted". It wasn't crowded so I really didn't see the excuse. Regardless, the food was just THAT good. Whether sweet crepes or salty ones, both were sensational. The Fitzgerald is a personal favorite of mine. The g/f ordered the fruit blintz crepe which is dusted with powdered sugar and hit with hearty chunks of strawberries and bananas.

It's not right out of Paris, but it has just enough touch of French charm which gives it a relaxing and quaint vibe.

I'm over 611 Supreme.  Capitol Hill has no parking and they are so damn slow.. I'm over it!

So I decided to check this place out with mi amiga.  It's near the Zeek's pizza down on 65th.

Prompt seating.
Decent latte and hot chocolate.
Split the Westchester (yum) crepe and the Lemon crepe *nice..  I thought lemon with whip cream would not be a good combo but yeap, it is. the waitress brought them out in staggered fashion so that we could split it.. double nice.

my only beef is that I think everyone was able to hear our convo, the interior was so teensy.  up the musica!

Le Delicious.

I had the Westchester (tons of veggies and cheese) and my Girl had the Island Girl (shrimp, mango, etc).

Both were great and incredibly filling, I dare say a bit oily for my taste, but fat = flavor.

We'll be going back for dessert soon. As soon as I finish digesting the Westchester.

I would honestly give it 4.5 stars....the only thing is I wish it were bigger though I like the quaint atmosphere. Behind the counter was bigger than the seating area.

But enough of that, went there for Mom's Day with my man and son because I wanted to try something different and I was craving crepes.
Even though it was packed in there, we were seated right away at the barstool counter. It was cool to watch them make the crepes right in front of us. They made ours within 2 minutes of ordering.

The staff was very friendly and prompt. The crepes were sooooooo delicious. My son and I had the Comfort Crepe and my boyfriend had the Saved By the Bell crepe. My man and I also had a Kir Royale (champagne & black current liquer) that was very tasty.

We will definately be back- especially for dinner and wine tasting.

We have eaten here 2 times so far.  The first time we ate in and the most recent we got take-out.  Both times the food was really good.  I prefer the crepe at Javista but the fillings at Crepe Cafe...

The inside is small and has a comfortable feel to it.  I am looking forward to trying it someday for dinner.

The service has always been sweet, the crepes delicious, the atmosphere relaxing and charming, and the portions generous. The french press coffee is phenomenal. I once got a crepe I did not like, but I think I realized I did not like the combination of items - which is hardly their fault. It's more my fault for ordering something that I was unsure of whether I'd like it or not.
So yes to crepe cafe. If you can, try to get a seat in the window. Super nice.

So, today I decided to have probably what is the ultimate in brunch foods, the crepe.  Today's restaurant of choice, the Crepe Cafe & Wine Bar in Ravenna.

Now, I haven't spent much time in Ravenna, however I really liked the location for this place.  It seems like it's in a fairly peaceful section of the neighborhood.  Though this place doesn't have it's own lot, parking seemed fairly plentiful in the surrounding area, I had no problem finding a spot on a Sunday afternoon.

Once inside, the first thing you'll notice is that it's a bit cozy..or cramped depending on if you're a cup half-full or cup half-empty kind of guy.  Today my cup seems to be on the half-full side of things so I'll call it cozy.  The tables are a bit small, there were three of us dining today and that was about the maximum you could fit at the table we were at once you get drinks, flatware, and food on the table.  Even still we had a lot of plate and glass juggling to do.  That being said, I think the restaurant is just about the perfect size.  Any bigger and it'd lose some of it's charm.  It never was so crowded as to make me feel cramped, and I don't much care for crowds.  There was enough space left that the waitresses could easily move about the restaurant, so space didn't impact the service.

The brunch menu was divided into "Crepes with Eggs", "Savory Crepes", and "Sweet Crepes".  There were 4 or 5 different selections in each category that were pretty significantly different from one another.  I picked the "Saved By The Bell" which fell in to the Crepes with Eggs category.  It had chorizo sausage, salsa, and some spinach I think among a few other things.  The crepe was great, the chorizo was flavorful and I liked the salsa.  The portions were fairly large, just having the crepe was enough to fill me up.

The prices, I feel, are reasonable for what we had.  However it is a moderately priced lunch, these aren't cheap eats.  Brunch cost about $12 per person, that was crepe and a drink.

Overall, I had an outstanding experience here.  I can't wait to go back and try out one of their desert crepes!  In particular the one with apples and cheese...yum!

Having lived in a college town with a creperie I couldn't stand, I was pleasantly surprised by Crepe Cafe when a friend first suggested it, and I've been back a couple of times since, usually involving a specific trip to Ravenna to come here. It's a tiny place, has a decently intimate setting for a date or an occasion, is a bit pricey for a casual dinner for the amount of food you get, is vegetarian friendly, and I don't think I'd try to come here with more than 4 people simply due to the lack of space.

The savory Italian-themed crepes are my favorite dinner crepes here, including:
- The Monaco ($11, basil, tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto)
- J's Crepe ($13, mushrooms, onions, spinach, goat cheese and sundried tomato)
- The Stephanie ($15, chicken, tomato, ricotta, mozzarella, pesto, spinach and a cool name)

Be sure to save room for dessert, because Crepe Cafe offers an array of crepes for the chocolate lover, the fruit lover, or those who want both. The Paradis Chocolate ($8, almond butter and chocolate) is not too sweet and a great way to finish off after a savory dinner crepe.

Really though, I've never really had anything bad here, in terms of what I've ordered and trying others' dishes which is a good sign at a restaurant. Unless you have given crepes a chance at many creperies and you fundamentally loathe them, Crepe Cafe is worth a shot for dinner.

The following are my crepe qualms, all of which were neutralized by the Crepe Cafe last night:

1). "No savory veggie options" - they had FOUR and all were AMAZING
2). "Dessert crepes are all the same" - try the pumpkin pie or the blueberry. You will be wowed.
3). "I won't be able to pronounce what I want to order and will be teased" - J's Crepe, The Monaco, the Westchester, all very pronouncable, plus a very non-snooty server.
4). "I'll leave hungry" - Not here! Couldn't even finish my "regular size" savory crepe (somehow found room for dessert, though ; )

Seriously one of the best meals I've had in awhile. Plus, cute decor and a vast array of adult beverages. You just gotta try it.

This was probably the first real crepe restaurant I ever went to.  I came with my boyfriend about 2 years ago and we had the Westchester with chicken and the Blueberry Farms crepe.  We found both to be amazing.  I'm usually not a big fan of spinach, but I found the flavors in the Westchester very complimenting.  If you are a blueberry lover, their Blueberry Farms crepe will probably be one of the best blueberry desserts you've ever had.  I came back periodically with my boyfriend; it soon became one of our favorite restaurants.

However the reason for my 3/5 score is due to my most recent visit.  The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, so we only dined there when we felt like splurging.  Having not been there in a while, I was delighted to go back.  But things did not start off all that great - our server ended up getting my boyfriend's order wrong, but he decided not to say anything because he didn't feel it was that big of a deal.  I couldn't see how that could have happened considering that the restaurant wasn't all that busy when we arrived.  As usual we ordered the Westchester, but unlike the other times I ate it, I found that it didn't taste the same as I had remembered it.  I was disappointed, but to top it off as I was trying my boyfriend's crepe, I came across a long hair in the crepe, that was definitely the cook's.  The server was nice enough to take the crepe off our bill and give us an employee discount on the other one.  But it was too late, my memories of the place were ruined.  I was sorely disappointed by the food and the service.  I will definitely not be returning.

Pros: Great tasting crepes, quaint atmosphere, nice date spot
Cons: Pricey, taste not consistent, "distracted" servers, wait for food is long

My friend took me to this place for breakfast when I was there to visit. Oh my god. The Nutella Banana crepe was a little slice of heaven on a plate. It was so good! And they make good hot chocolate. Oh and the servings were massive! I've never had such a large, awesome crepe. And the service was fabulous.

Years ago I stayed in a small hotel in the Latin Quarter in Paris. It was one of those Lets Go recommended places so it was a little odd to say the least. The owner was a very peculiar woman who, when she was there, never moved from her couch. But most of the time it was staffed by a very, very angry manager. He actually banged on my door at 6 in the morning to demand the balance of my payment which wasn't due until checkout. There was that and the bizarre mural in my room which had to something  to do with some guy making lead into gold. And the strange Cleopatra style shared bathtub. Oh, did I mention the attack geese? During the day the geese were locked outside. At night they opened a door and allowed them to roam the lobby to discourage unwanted visitors; Geese can be very mean,

Because of this I sought refuge in the local Bistros and Cafes sucking up Cafe au lait, drinking raspberry beer and munching on lots and lots of crepes. Had this place been near my hotel I would have spent many days there.

There are a gajillion "bistros" in Seattle all of a sudden, but most of them don't have the right casual, hang out vibe. Cafe Crepe has the right look, sort of a cross between a small living room and a neighborhood bar. It feels french. The crepes are hearty, creative and delicious. Unlike a lot of creperies in the U.S they fight off the urge to use wacky creations like a California Pizza Kitchen or something. And they have very delicious coffee. It comes in a Cafe Press with a little egg timer to let you know when to plunge. My only complaint is that the bechemel has too much nutmeg for my taste.

One more thing. I usually rant about bad service, but the waitress I had the day I was there was outstanding. Most of the place was filled with elderly folks who were being very difficult and her smile and charm never left her. That's rare in this town. Kudos!!!!!

I will come here often and daydream about the City Of Lights, angry hotel managers, and yes, attack geese.

The crepe cafe, located in Ravenna, is a great place for crepes if you're willing to spend the money.  I've been here for brunch and for dessert a few times, and have been pleased with the results.

The savory crepes are really, really rich.  They're chock full of stuffing, but if you have a sensitive or LI stomach like me, ask for "light on the cheese and sauce".  However, they crepes are all large (at least for me) and very filling.  The dessert crepes are to die for, but again, they are very liberal with their sauces and fillings, so if you don't want nutella or chocolate oozing out of your pores, ask for light on that as well.

The restaurant itself is small and kind of tucked away along 65th, unfortunately kind of hidden behind some trees and a bus stop.  I kind of have a feeling that it hinders business because people can't see it easily, but at the same time, it keeps it from being overrun with customers.

I'm gonna go out on a Kat-limb here and give the Crepe Cafe 5 stars, because they do what they do so well. Pretentious little decorations on the wall ("Is the owner Quebequois? French?"), perfect little cafe tables, wrought iron shit in the bathroom (okay, let's hope there's not iron shit in there, I'm referring to the decorations...).

Who cares if it's a bit pricey? If you are not going to a street cart for your crepe, and if you are not making them in your own kitchen, then you have assumed responsibility for whatever price your sit-down crepe haven charges for your meal. After all, it takes someone with French (or French Canadian) balls to assume the responsibility for the overhead on a business establishment in a neighborhood as nice as Ravenna where they're basically serving mini pancakes with some stuff inside them, dontcha think?

And now, let's get to the Stuff: I had the Westchester. It was glorious. Whatever my boyfriend had was glorious, too. It had chicken in it, and even though I don't eat meat, I made him let me nibble on it, his sauce was so damn good (yikes, I think that comment could get me tossed in the Double Entendre slammer!).

Maybe we were just giddy because it was a perfect spring day. Maybe the Gods were smiling upon us because it was Easter and we tried to be Reflective Humans by attending a Unitarian service. Maybe my main squeeze was just feeling extra playful because I let him buy me a motocycle jacket and rode over there on the back of his bike. Okay, I feel a little weird for letting that piece of information get out in public. I take it back. What motorcycle?

Anyway. On that day, in that dappled sunlight, nothing could have pleased me more than to be served a perfect, savory crepe on a perfectly lovely afternoon. So, mission accomplished, Crepe Cafe.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

My savory crepe here was amazing. The have unique combinations that will suit any pallet. This is a relaxing and quaint environment perfect for a gossip session with your friends. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner they have the perfect crepe for you...promise.

At first I thought the service was a little slow, but after getting over myself I realized that it was nice not to be pressured to leave or pay the bill.

The crepes are worth every penny and you are guaranteed not to leave here hungry.

Maybe I'll go back for dessert and some wine....(craving it)

Perhaps I have more hang-ups than the other reviewers, but I was disappointed with this restaurant. The crepes were lovely, true, and I enjoyed my mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

What I did not enjoy, however, was the service. Today was my friend's birthday; granted, that doesn't mean the waitstaff should pay any more attention than usual, but certainly not less. Among the four of us, we ordered only one entree crepe, the rest salads. This still took over an hour to arrive. Furthermore, it was absolutely impossible to catch the waitress' attention to ask for more water or for a glass of wine.

Ultimately, though I enjoyed the food, I think I'll try to get it for take-out next time.

EDIT: I've now actually interacted with the owner, a lovely woman, and I've realized that she had given birth the day before my friend's birthday. I imagine that the servers were a bit occupied with that knowledge! Other visits to this restaurant have been much more satisfactory, with more attention from the waitstaff and less delay in the preparation of the food.

Crepe Cafe and Wine Bar is located in the little restaurant area on NE 65th, between 20th and 25th Avenues NE. It's in the middle of the block and can be pretty easily missed if you're not paying attention. We found it by accident, and have since eaten there twice. This review is completely about the crepes - you're on your own when it comes to the wines.

CC&WB serves both savory and sweet crepes. Both kinds are quite good. The crepes themselves are nicely done - not too thick, not too thin, not too rich, not too bland. The combinations and kinds of filling offered are generally tried-and-true (and freshly prepared). Check out their Web site for detailed menus.

The interior is finished in nice warm colors and the ambiance is smartly casual - rather euro-cafe, IMO. The service is prompt and attentive, although things can be a little tight and hectic when it gets busy. Overall, a nice little creperie which I much prefer over the now-defunct Bouchee.

[March 28 2008] They raised prices. Our breakfast crepes were $9.95 and 11.95. Even the lemon zest and sugar crepe is now 7.95. Ludicrous.

The crepes here are decadent and on the pricey side.  If you are trying for the first time I'd recommend going for weekend brunch as the crepes are cheaper by a few $ for the same combinations as dinner/dessert.  One brunch crepe makes a very filling meal; I had a spinach and cheese combination that was very good.  Plus if you sit facing the cooking area you can watch them make the crepes which is entertaining.  The restaurant is small and when it's full it does feel a bit cramped.  The latte here was amazing! I wish I knew which brand of coffee they used.  Also if you order regular coffee they bring a little French press to your table for you to pour from.  They also had some beautiful looking teas that were brought to the table in cute glass teapots, and I believe they also sell the "tea flowers" so you can take one home if you find a tea that you adore.

This is one of my favorite little places in Seattle to go and relax with friends. The wine here is a nice selection of Bordeauxs, with fresh ingredients for the crepes. The overall feel of this place is very warm and inviting. I almost want to live in Roosevelt when I sit down here. Alcena runs a very nice restaurant, and the music here is second to none. I think I heard Billie Holiday, Woodie Herman, Count Basie, and Charlie Mingus all in one setting. Wow! that's some good taste in tunes (and I'm kind of an old school punk when it comes to music).

The Crepe Cafe seats about 25 people comfortably, and I like to sit at the bar facing the cooks. The tables are adorned like a European Cafe, and the crepe selection here is either sweet or rich. The tea here is also quite nice, so if you stop by on a rainy day bring a book and just relax, or meet here with a friend.

It's the coziest place in Roosevelt with the coolest wait staff and owners in town. It's not cheap, but I recommend it for a date, or for bringing out of towners.

The following review is based on two visits.

Crepe: Very good.
Wine: Quite good.
Interior: Nice and cozy.
Waiting staff: fine.
Background music: Outstanding. I think they were playing French jazz (or jazz mixed with some singing in French).

The place is small and quite cozy, the clientile unassuming.

UPDATE: Try the "Crepe Cafe" in Vancouver, BC when you visit there. It's more of a casual, fast-food type of place. But their crepes are very good. Their parent company is in France. So I presume it's quite authentic. I saw two stores, both on Robson.

Crepes and wine. YUM. You don't get any more niche than this, but it works. I didn't know before I went that it would be as expensive as it was, but at least I had a coupon from the U District Community Shopper flyer, so that helped, especially since I took the kids. The Mushroom crepe was superb, as was the chocolate & strawberry dessert crepe. The kids loved their Nutella banana dessert crepe, but I liked their "tropical" crepes better than they did. Shrimp, mango, avocado, mushrooms and a few other things. Very cute, smallish space, good for taking two well behaved teens, but I wouldn't come here with younger kids. It really has more of "great place to go on a date" feel to it. Not that I'm likely to find out.

The Crepe Cafe is a fairly new spot in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood; one might even say it's the city's best kept secret in fine and fun dining.

As you might imagine from the name, the Crepe Cafe specializes in savory and sweet crepes, and also in fine wines. The atmosphere is that of a European cafe with white tablecloths and an intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for a date with a significant other,  friends, or family. The waiters are very helpful and very well informed about the wines they carry, all without being condescending to the wine-impaired.

While the Crepe Cafe is not the cheapest eats in town, its atmosphere and delicious food make it perfect for a special night out away from the chaos and craziness of everyday life. And besides, even if you go all out on dinner, dessert, and wine, it's still cheaper than a trip to France!

Had the Monterey (scrambled egg crepe!) and it was incredible.  Big portions.  Cute decor.  I got up and looked at the art on the walls while waiting for the food.  My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday morning, around 9am and it wasn't busy.  Just 2 other tables and one was a couple on their first date, so cute!!  Our server was friendly.  I'd say the prices are fair.  Can't wait to try this place for dinner and wine.

I thought 611 Supreme had made me a crepe snob, but I was pleasant surprised that I had a great experience at the Crepe Cafe. It's the more traditional square folded crepe with softer crepes instead of crunchy crepes like at 611. The flavor of ingredients that really fuse well together. Both savory and sweet crepes are well worth the try.

The first thing that hit me about this place when i walked in the door was the heavenly smell of garlic in hot olive oil..and boy, that  just got mehungrier! (they had a Roasted Garlic Tomato soup as a special that day-but i was saving all my love for the crepes so did not try it)That apart - the first thing anyone will notice about this place is that it is incredibly small-and therefore incredibly intimate! This can be a perfect spot for a romantic evening out when you know you cannot afford a trip to France anytime soon but still want a French cafe experience:) I certainly enjoyed the music, the great service , the crepe chips with balsamic oil, the scrumptious crepes (and have i gotten lucky with all the wonderful vegetarian options i had to navigate thru!). I had no space left for the dessert crepe. Oh well-next time then.
The  crepes themselves were well-done, spun right in front of you behind the refrigerated counter up front (which was the only slight eye sore ). i had The Westchester and asked for it to be light on cheese and loved the sun dried tomato coulis that peeked out  between bites. The avocado was a little sparse though- i would have loved some more of that fattening goodness!
The only reason i give this place 4 stars instead of five is coz well-lets face it, $13 per crepe is a bit much. But the wonderful experience i had will probably take me right back sometime. Unless someone can point me to a cheaper place to get a slice of France!

One final word for Ravenna: adorable!

other reviews have said the interior was "nice and cozy" I thought it was just small and claustrophobe inducing... but that's just me. other than that, it was nice for a treat, and I'm really glad I had a coupon! they always have coupons out so I don't think I'd ever really want to pay full price
